In 2006, the screening of A.Matelis' film "Before I Fell to Earth" at the Lithuanian Embassy in Tokyo on the occasion of the Children's Day inspired the Japan-Lithuania Friendship Association (JLFA) to make support for the fight against children's cancer in Lithuania an operational priority. From that day on, a noble friendship between good-hearted people from Japan and sick children began.
