Today is day 15 after little Lieputė's haematopoietic stem cell transplant. It has been a very difficult few days, full of pain, nausea and lack of appetite, but little by little she is finding the strength to eat a bite, play a little and send air kisses in spite of everything. When we found out that Lieputė couldn't watch her favourite movies or sing along with her favourite artists, we gave her a tablet. Soon after, I received a video of Liepa filling the ward with strength and hope through music and singing.
I would like to express my warmest gratitude once again to the Lithuanian donor, whose donated stem cells, like grains of life, are already slowly taking hold in the baby's body
Little Friend Liepa, I'm really looking forward to your first time outdoors, when we can hug tightly!
